Life Is Passive Patience

Life is passive patience in the sense that we are always in a state of wait or better yet anticipation, we all know on some level that certain things will come to pass in our life whether good or bad, the phrase "this too shall pass" holds true, no special effort is required on your part once you put something into play and from the moment your born and in every waking moment you are constantly putting things into play creating ripple effects in the environment you influence. you could be provoking an emotion in someone or in your self or on a physical level you could be building something of value and maybe not finish it, decide to forget it but the reality is whatever it is it stays on your permanent record and can be later be used to discredit or approve you. on your own, personally it will lead to episodes of guilt time and again. YOU KNOW THIS! let me give you a personal example. late in 2011 I dropped out of school and lost my only stable source of income, my living allowance, I had been distracted by running a small loan sharking business among others and had subsequently failed my way out of school, too embarrassed to go back home I decided to take up a job as a loan broker in a brokerage called General Finance in Main Mall thinking I new enough about selling loans to transcend my skills to the job, things worked out well for a couple of months until government tried introducing new policy which caused all the brokerages to cease operations, on my quest to stay afloat I went to a job interview at Standard Chartered they wanted sales reps at the time, going in I was asked a few basic questions and just as we were about done my CV reflected that I was not done with my studies and I had spent very little time at my previous job I had trouble explaining this and I knew this would happen. its not new information when such things come to pass you have passively waited for this eventuality. now to go back to the emotion example, emotions are like bricks they build on each other so subsequently if you are provoking positive emotions in someone or yourself they will build and the results could be wonderful! the opposite holds true for negative emotions YOU KNOW THIS! now at this point you must be thinking this is about cause and effect and it is, but I would like to make you aware of the laps in time between cause and eventual effect, this is the state we live in day in and day out the passive patience for effect. I think once we are consciously aware of this we can more readily chose to be more proactive about the negative outcomes we know are on their way and replace worry with action, free ourselves and let the good times roll! Yes let the good times roll out because their coming either way and if you choose to make them better during the laps of cause and effect, go ahead the future is guaranteed!

FAILING 101

I have learnt to love failure over the years, four years have passed since the last post and in that time I fearlessly sold travel packages, started a small distribution company had an office and all the bells and whistles, gave out small loans to students, repackaged and retailed cleaning chemicals, took night classes for a real estate agency licence, brokered loans for micro lenders, sold shelf companies and within the same space of time I ended up owing the bank, taxes, dropped out of two schools, lost my company to a greedy partner and got kicked out of my uncles place (by my uncle). So whats to love here? well its the school of hard knocks the lessons I have learnt are permanent empowerment. .

Lessons 1
·         Burning all bridges: going to work everyday with no money in your pocket or P3.30 at the most puts you in a position where you CANT  fail, for the most part of 2011’s last quarter prospecting was not an option whether the money was there or not.

You see buy getting in front of clients every day the thought that you have no money to go back home with becomes laughable because you know you have put food on the table for the long haul, this builds up your confidence and because you don’t look so desperate anymore people become more willing to help you out that day,

No one feels sorry for someone who feels sorry for themselves .

·         Too hungry to cook?  Here in this question lies the answer to beating procrastination, so lets dig in deeper  if you were me a year ago you would be excused as you would not have any gas or food to speak of but alas I did have noodles, which ill get to later.

The thing is our brains are instinctively programmed to gravitate towards pleasure  and to completely avoid pain, so there you are sitting comfortably on the couch watching your favorite chick flick or expendables two for all I care and you get a rumbling in your belly, your getting a tad bit hungry but the pots are dirty and the movie is just heating up you consider all the labor and how comfy you are and decide to let it wait , besides this is your favorite part in the movie and just like that you have justified your current position with a few more positive reasons.

But slowly you start loosing concentration, your belly is roaring off  and you start feeling weak in that big comfy couch, is it worth it now ? you ponder, I am sure theirs at lest one clean thing of every thing  and I could wash all the grime at once on a full stomach! All of a sudden  the prospect of leaving that couch which now feels like a grave is much more promising . Procrastination is temporary ,the pain of hunger will eternally be greater that that of cooking !  even the book of proverbs says it “ the laborer is motivated by his hunger”

Its not a joke when I say I lived on noodles and they weren't so bad, nice compact packaging tasty seasoning and only took two minutes to prepare, but their deception deprived me of rich wholesome meals this is sophisticated procrastination where you “noodle up” a string of small rewarding activities to avoid the bigger stressful annoying but supremely more rewarding task .

Go out and cook BIG DEALS!

STEPING PEBBLE TO WEALTH

If you have ever watched the movie revolver there is apart where they talk about a certain question that has driven many men to riches ''whats in it for me?'' now I have read of a certain motivational speaker that probably didn't get to watch the movie. you see for years this guy used to visit people in his home town, and give every body he met money! Later he discovered that he was going down financially While some of the people he gave money went higher, His friends and mentors tried to advice him to stop motivating people for free. But the egg head argued that he had a burden for people. and so as he wondered aimlessly in the world, a big company invited him to give a motivational talk. they asked him how much he would charge and he opted for a token of appreciation, the company was glad to oblige and after the talk they gave him a towel as a sign that he was worth nothing, well that's the price tag that he put on himself even though he was actually a really good speaker he just didn't know his worth. his listeners liked what he taught but they never took his sessions seriously because they knew that if they missed something they would just show up for another free lecture. he only learnt his lesson after being sucked dry and on the verge of quiting, that people value something they pay for and that there is nothing wrong with asking for something in return for your services. so if there is anyone out there who is like this you should know that to survive in this world you need to change your mindset, and always be clear on whats in it for you. I'm not saying you should go out there and be a greedy son of a log, just make sure you get your money's worth for your work.

STEP ONE: RICH MAN MENTALITY

As you start your journey to riches and financial freedom you will need to be mentally prepared for the accumulation of money. you see whether we like it or not there are people in this world who are more equal than us, well in terms of bank accounts and I'm not saying how much money you have at the bank is a measure of wealth, its just that some people have more money than us. that's the sad truth about this world we have poor people and rich people and the middle class are really just treading the line between these two worlds, so what is it that causes this division? what sets ''them'' aside from the rest of the jolly bunch? the answer my friend lies in their mentality, their thinking process and their mental chemistry that has been conditioned and programed for the accumulation of money. Now your first step is to have the rich man mentality, If you look at most rich people today you will find that they have either inherited there wealth our they were raised in rich families, either way there environment has transformed them into what they are today, there is this story about a rich Arabic man who every evening used to play with his son and he would time and again throw him up into the air and catch him again, one day while playing with him he threw him up and gently moved to the side, and watched with a grin on his face as his son fell to the ground. After the Little boy finished crying he wagged his finger at him and said '' you see, you can never trust a person not even your own farther just trust money, money wont kill you.''Now you probably didn't have a farther like that so you haven't been raised with a money hungry mentality, which means It is now upon your self to develop that hunger and craving for money. You must now decide whether you desire great wealth or not and if you do, take that Little desire you have and start to amplify it. every day envision yourself a wealthy man, mix the desire with an emotion and turn it into a life goal, put it amongst your biggest goals like getting married, having a baby and make it a part of your everyday life think about it everyday and you will develop the RICH MAN MENTALITY.

STEP2:CREATIVITY

OK now that you have got the desire to make money this step wont be so hard you see creativity is a type of genius embedded in each and every one of us and can be unlocked at any time provided that you have the right keys to the lock, and apparently you do. I know that because you were once a kid at one point in your life or you are young person reading this blog and as a child you played all sorts of games with your friends or alone at home. well the thing is, playing takes place in the imagination and you might say that's impossible! how can something I do physically happen and take effect in my head. OK playing is a physical thing but think about when you were playing alone at home maybe with action figgers or toy cars you would find your self making sound effects according to what you were doing with the toy that's because in your head a whole new world was unraveling a world with no limitations where cars could stay in mid air for more than 5 minuets and land on the wall or something and buildings could be moved by intangible forces, now that was imagination the element that gives meaning and puts fun into playing. It becomes very clear now that we all have the first key in us, imagination. In fact this is all you need to be creative but unfortunately as a person grows older they tend to use less and less of their imagination which I find quite normal, in a world with so many pressers compiling on us there isn't much time for day dreaming. but if you really want to attain the status of ''RICH'' you will need to be creative and for that one needs imagination, an element that can be re launched through inspiration .inspiration is a weird sneaky and rebellious thing it seems to hit us when least expected with waves of enormous energy triggering all sorts of thinking process, the Macmillan English dictionary defines it as '' a sudden feeling of enthusiasm or a new idea that helps you to do or create something'' Now like i said before, inspiration is a rebellious thing that seems to be beyond our control like a wild beast always on the lookout for unsuspecting prey to pounce on. so we have to go about this smart when trying to tame it. step1 will be to lure it & the second & final step is to trap it.STEP:1- First we will have to do what all great hunters do, find bait. here are some of the things that can induce inspiration. [a] dreams, even though we cant do much about this phenomenon we can at least pay attention to these dreams and what they hold for us.STEP:2- Mentors, whether we like it or not we all have role models in life who we look up to and now we must find men and women who have mastered the art of making money ,mentors who give us direction and inspire us to do the sameSTEP:3- Try searching for it within your self or try paying attention to your thoughts when doing things you have a passion for.& ultimately a desire will be triggerd a desire to reach your dreams, become your mentors and forfill your passion. this desire will attract flashes of inspiration which will ignite imagination that will open a portal of creativity in your brain & result in the birth of an idea for generating money & wealth.

STEP3 FINANCIAL LITERACY

OK so you have this great idea on how to make more money and you're very exited about implementing it, so you go out and get a loan or take out money from your own pocket to invest in it, but after a couple of months the whole thing comes crumbling down. And you wounder what went wrong? the whole thing had been planed out flawlessly. the answer good fellow lies in ''you,'' you went wrong you probably didn't make the most important investment that every financial endeavor needs, financial education. You see without financial literacy you become like a builder trying desperately to erect a building without a foundation, and that's what most people today are trying to do in their attempt to build wealth, their trying to build it on no educational foundation and the results are catastrophic so I would advise you to seriously consider taking the time to invest in your financial education and to never go into an investment without being fully informed on what exactly it entails. their many sources of information out there, their books dedicated to teaching all kinds of financial jargon and can teach you the key aspects of different investment opportunities so that you are fully informed when partaking in the that investment whatever it may be. by knowing what you are doing you eliminate the risk of investing and give your self leverage over the rest if there is competition in that field. So the next time you have extra cash don't hesitate to spend it on a resource that could improve your financial literacy, you wont regret it.
